Dear friends in Christ,
For 10 years now, the Lord has been
using the Brazilian Rotating Fund to help churches in this country expand their
own facilities and start new churches. During these years the Lord has also
blessed the efforts of those who serve on the controlling board as we planned
seminars for pastors and wives. Our goal has been to help pastors be better
prepared to meet the needs of their people and the demands of modem life. The
last week of August we had our fifth seminar with 48 couples (pastors and
leaders with their wives) plus 8 singles, making a total of 104 who attended.
Our speakers were Dr. Mike Frazier from Canton Baptist Temple in Canton, Ohio
and Dr. Ebenezer Bittencourt of the Brazilian branch of the Haggai Institute. We
all were inspired, convicted and blessed by their three days of teaching on
"Intimacy with God" and "Effectiveness and Excellency in Ministry".
Several churches and individuals have contributed recently to the Brazilian
Rotating Fund. We are praying that more offerings will come in this month so
that the two Brazilian churches to which loans have been promised can receive
their money and go ahead with their building projects. Please pray with us.
We are making plans to visit all of our Regional Bible Institute graduates in
three different areas of Brazil which are very far apart. I will be preaching in
some of the 22 churches which these graduates are pastoring. The trip will be
exhausting so we will need you to pray for our health as well as for our safety.
We are so thankful for your faithfulness. Together we are definitely making a
difference in reaching lost souls in Brazil. Thanks much for your support and
