Prayer Letter
July 2010

Dear Pastor and Friends:

Among our personally trained pastors, Josias de Arruda stands out as a shining example. He and his wife, Zezita graduated from our Bible Institute in 1973, and he has been in the pastorate since then . . . until recently.

After 20 years in a church in Recife, he was ready to leave that particular ministry; new pastor ready to step in, only lacked the church's fulfillment of its promises concerning his retirement. Suddenly in a meeting, another spirit took over and Pr. Josias and Zezita were out with no retirement plan whatsoever.

Terrible deception. A horrible crime against this couple!  Josias is 69 years old. No salary. No health plan.

Where does he go?

Forward!!   He started witnessing in the area where they moved. He started holding services on his front porch and people started attending. He has already won several people to the Lord, six of whom are ready for baptism. Recently, by faith, he borrowed $7,000 from a BBFI organization here in Brazil and has bought land to put up a building. Pray for Pr. Josias and Zezita and all their future plans.

Thank you for the part you have had in his ministry through us.

Sincerely,

Dean McClure
