ˇFeliz Navidad!
Dear Pastor and Praying Friends,
“And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in
a manger. And when they had seen
it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning
this child...” (Luke
2:16,17) The story of Christmas
still comes with the responsibility to “make known abroad”.
Christmas and missions cannot be separated.
The “saying...concerning this child” still needs to be told in all
lands and in all languages.
Discipleship Conference.
In November we took 24 pastors, leaders and students of the Bible
Institute in Tarija to a discipleship conference in Cochabamba.
The bus trip took over 24 hours and went straight over the Andes
mountains. It was worth every
bump, curve and back pain as a team from the Kansas City Baptist Temple, led
by Marcos Castro taught on establishing believers.
Afterwards our group began the return trip, challenged to put in to
practice what we had learned. It
didn’t take long to notice that the bus driver was exhausted and having
trouble staying awake. (Not an
encouraging sign when crossing the Andes!)
His assistant then admitted that he had never actually driven a bus,
but was a taxi driver! At this
point, one of our men volunteered to drive and they agreed!
At a rest stop, Mario Ibarra (pastor of the church in Juan XXIII)
preached and EIGHT of the other passengers trusted Jesus Christ as Savior!
Please pray for the pastors and leaders as they use these tools they
received, and for these new converts!
Bible Baptist Institute of Tarija.
We ended our 3rd year with 40 students successfully completing classes,
as well as our FIRST GRADUATE, Ivan Fernández.
He plans to work in the church in Tabladita for a year to gain
experience, and then will be sent out as the church’s first missionary!
Please pray for Iván, his wife, Rocío and their daughter Solángel.
Revival
in San Bernardo.
I was invited to preach a conference in San Bernardo.
Praise the Lord, NINE trusted Christ as Savior, as well as decisions of
commitment, personal purity and several for full time service!
The services ended on Sunday night with over 200 present!
Please pray for these decisions.
Thank
you for your prayers and support!
