Dear Praying Friends,
As I look back over
furlough, all I can say is “Praise the Lord.”
It has been a blessing reporting back to our supporting churches, as
well as presenting our ministry in some new churches.
We have seen souls saved, lives surrendered and through it all, God has
protected and provided! Let me
share just a few of those blessings.
God's
Protection: Recently, we were
on our way to a church service, when crossing an intersection, I noticed a
speeding car running the red light and headed straight at us.
I slammed on the brakes and the car passed just inches in front of us.
It was going so fast that for a moment it literally became airborne and
then hit the pavement with sparks flying everywhere!
I knew, in that moment, God
had protected us from a deadly accident. I
couldn't help but wonder, having driven nearly 35,000 miles this furlough, how
many other times God had protected us.
God's
Provision: God has provided
some new monthly support, as well as much needed funds for several ministry
projects we are working on in
Bolivia
. As you know, it has been our
desire for some time to buy property and begin building our own camp.
I had prayed about borrowing the money, but didn't want to get ahead of
God. Well, praise the Lord, this
furlough He has provided for the purchase of the land, materials for the first
building, and enough to finish a Sunday School classrooms and bathroom
project. God is so good!
We are also grateful for the faithfulness of His people.
We rejoice in God's provision of
national leadership in Bolivia. They certainly have "held the
fort" and more, during our furlough. I just received a note from
one of our pastors reporting that 6 souls were saved in special
services. We look forward to returning and co-laboring with these godly
men!
Yours
for Bolivian Souls,
Paul and Barbara Frizzell
